Description	:	VALLEY FALLS -- Maye Lynn, 90, Valley Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at an Atchison hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1909, southeast of Valley Falls, to Charles Curtis and Christena Meyer Green. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1927. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Washburn University in Topeka. She taught in elementary schools for 47 years. Mrs. Lynn taught for many years in Jefferson County schools. Read More	VALLEY FALLS -- Maye Lynn, 90, Valley Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at an Atchison hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1909, southeast of Valley Falls, to Charles Curtis and Christena Meyer Green. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1927. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Washburn University in Topeka. She taught in elementary schools for 47 years. Mrs. Lynn taught for many years in Jefferson County schools. She taught at Rock Creek, McLouth, Hebron, Nichols, Half Mound and West Rock Creek. She taught at Effingham and then at East Indianola Grade School in the Seaman district in Topeka before she retired in 1974. She was a member of the former First Baptist Church and attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church, both in Valley Falls. She was a member of Delaware Valley Homemakers Extension Unit, Prairie Hall Club, Nichols Club, Knap Sackers Camping Club and Red Dale Camping Club. She married Thomas Lynn on July 12, 1932. He died July 25, 1984. Survivors include a sister, Ella May Holding, Valley Falls. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will be in Valley Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 5375 W. 7th, Topeka, 66606.
