Funeral service was conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Abie. Rev. Stanley F. Schieffer officiated, and burial was in the parish cemetery. Rosary was recited Wednesday evening at Svoboda Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Emanuel, Eugene, Carroll Siroky, James Divis, Jerry Fendrick and Myron Coufal. He was married to Josephine Hamsa, Sept. 8, 1901 in Abie. A retired farmer, he moved to Schuyler four years ago. Survivors include one son Jerry, Schuyler, daughter, Mrs. Frank Pop, Grand Island, one grandson and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sisters and one brother.
