Description	:	Vada M Wille age 95 of Brooklyn, Iowa died on Sunday at the Brooklyn Community Estates in Brooklyn, Iowa. Interment with military rites will be conducted at St John's Cemetery South of Victor, Iowa. Vada Mae Bahr was the daughter of Earl Snook and Lillian Cecile Cashman Bahr. She was baptized in the Ladora United Methodist Church. She attended school in Ladora, Iowa. She was confirmed in November of 1941 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Interment with military rites will be conducted at St John's Cemetery South of Victor, Iowa. Vada Mae Bahr was the daughter of Earl Snook and Lillian Cecile Cashman Bahr. She was baptized in the Ladora United Methodist Church. She attended school in Ladora, Iowa. She was confirmed in November of 1941 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. In 1943 she graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Marshalltown, Iowa. Vada joined the Army Nurse Corp in 1943 and served in the US and ETO in England and France during WW II. She was a surgical nurse in a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in France and then also accompanied wounded service men on their flights home to the States. After her discharge she was active in nursing for 45 years in the Marengo and Grinnell Hospitals. She was married to Raymond Henry Wille on November 15, 1943 in Ladora. To this union were born Willard and Vadarae. They farmed east of Williamsburg and in 1951 they moved south of Victor. She was a member of St John's Lutheran. In 1979, they retired to Williamsburg and became members of St Paul Lutheran Church. In 1995 they returned to Victor and were members of St James Lutheran Church. She was an active member of each church's Ladies Aid, LWML and Altar Guild. Vada moved to Littlefield, Texas in 2001 to be near her daughter, Vadarae. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and LWML. She returned to Iowa in February of 2004 to reside at Brooklyn Community Estate. She was a member of the Iowa County Farm Bureau, the American Legion and was a lifetime member of the American Red Cross. She baked and decorated many types of cakes for family and the public for many years. She enjoyed gardening and canning and freezing her produce, sewing and crocheting. She was an active farm wife
