Description	:	Mrs. Gust Granquist, 92, Akron, died Thursday (April 14, 1983) in the Akron city hospital of a long illness. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran church in Akron. Rev. Benard Nelson officiated. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Schroeder funeral home at Akron. Active pallbearers were Michael Bean, Brian Bean, Chad Coyle, Robert Viken, Martin Haugen and Ed Sandvold. Honorary pallbearers were Art Sandvold, Clarence Haugen, Bill Foulk, Harold Beaver, Leonard Haugen and Kenneth Hultgren. Mrs. Granquist, the former Volberg Sofia Sandvold, was born Jan. 28, 1891, at Lillehammer, Norway. She came to the United States and to Sioux City in 1906 and moved to Akron in 1909. She was married Oct. 8, 1919, in Sioux City. Mr. Granquist died Jan. 21, 1959, at Akron. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church. Mrs. Granquist lived in the same house at Akron from 1910 until 1982 when she entered the Akron nursing home. Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Julius (Marie) Willer and Mrs. Richard (Agnes) Bean, both of Akron, and Mrs. Dallas (Kathryn) Rounds of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
