Description	:	Valentine was the nineth child of Henry Secrest and Elizabeth Spaid Secrest. He was born at home. Valentine had seven brothers: John, Abraham, George W., Michael, Frederick, Mathias, and William. He had one sister: Elizabeth. Neither Mathias nor Elizabeth married.
