Description	:	Valentine Chambers, son of Margaret Chambers, grandson of James and Cassandra (Pack) Chambers, was born March 4, 1959. Valentine Chambers married Linda Isabelle Fry(e) on September 25, 1884 in Marysville, Marion County, Iowa. To this union 12 children were born, three of whom preceded him in death - a son, Manly, and a daughter, Katie, and one infant child. He also leaves 28 grandchildren, four of whom are in the service Corp. Charles Walter, Jr., who is in Ireland, Pvt. Harlan Dale in North Africa, Thomas Perry, Jr., in California, and Lt. Geraldine Walters, a nurse in France. There are 12 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. The deceased lived his entire life in Marion County as a farmer and coal miner. He was a member of the united Mine Workers of America local unit No. 91. Funeral services were conducted at the marysville church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon by Rev. Marvin Pigg, pastor of the First Christian church of Knoxville. Internment was in the Marysville Cemetery.
