Mrs. Allen passed away at the family home here on Tuesday after a somewhat lengthy illness, and leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Heber F. Allen, and five children, Marion, who is a teacher in an Ogden High School, Louise (Mrs. Doran Kenney) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dr. Douglas of Calgary and Margaret (Mrs. Jim Bridge) and Katherine (Mrs. Joseph Keeler) of Raymond. She also leaves her mother, Mrs. W. B. Nalder and her two sisters, Mrs. Emma Burr of Lethbridge and Mrs. Velma Redd of Raymond, and three brothers, Ray of Picture Butte and Clifton and Butler of Raymond. Mrs. Allen was a very talented person in the musical field and gave freely of her time and talents to provide entertainment and enjoyment for others and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. As a special tribute to Mrs. Allen most places of business in town closed their doors during the funeral with the Mercantile being closed all day. The staff of that store sat in a group at the services. Also present for the funeral were Mr. Allen's three sisters from Utah, Mrs. Lucille Douglas, Mrs. Miralda McKay and Mrs. Hazel Snow who was accompanied by her husband and daughter, Mary. Allen is Laid to Rest RAYMOND - Tribute was paid to the late Mrs. Valeria Nalder Allen at the funeral services held on Friday at Raymond, with some seven hundred persons attending and with floral tributes requiring several cars to convey them to the cemetery. Wife of Heber F. Allen, Raymond business man and mother of five children, Marian, Mrs. Margaret Bridge, Mrs. Katherine Keeler, Mrs. Louise Kenny, all of Raymond, and Dr. Douglas Allen of Calgary. Mrs. Allen passed away earlier in the week at her home in Raymond. The family were all home the previous Sunday and Mrs. Allen felt fairly well. Having been ill for several monthes, spending some time in hospital, she asked to be removed to her home where she continued receiving special care...
