Val was born September 4, 1941, to Ludvik ("Dudley") and Agnes (Cech) Lavicky. He was a graduate of Assumption High School in 1958. Val served in the Navy from June 29, 1959 to August, 29, 1962 as a Fire Control Technician on the U.S. John W. Thomason ship and transferred to the reserves. He received an honorable discharge on June 28, 1965. Val married Melissa Rea October 21, 1977, in Schuyler. Val was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church, Dwight Vol. Fire Department, Dwight Rural Fire Board, Plum Creek Township, and the Dwight American Legion Post 110. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, family, and friends. Val's passion was farming and enjoyed spending time outside. His hobbies included playing cards, spending time with friends, and causing trouble. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and infant daughter Danielle. Contributor: Anonymous (50950498)
