Valetta worked at Cushman War Industries in Lincoln and at the First National Bank of Nebraska (First Trust Department) in Lincoln. She married Allen Kluever on June 16, 1946 at the Methodist Church in Columbus. In 1963 they opened Central Parts and Machine, Inc. where she was the office manager. In 1983 a satellite location in Albion, Nebraska was opened. She served on the Advisory Board for American Parts Systems. Valetta had been involved in: 4-H leader for 10 years, Cub Scouts leader for two years, Brownie leader for three years, Girl Scout leader for one year, PTA president for one year, Art Gallery docent for four years, charter member of the Apartment Association for two years, organized the first garden club in Columbus, campaign volunteer for the Platte County Republican party, area coordinator for the American Cancer Society Reach to Recover Program for 13 years, Methodist Church Board of Trustee member for five years, Endowment Committee secretary for seven years, Sunday school teacher for 10 years, dinner chairwoman for Methodist fund-raisers for 10 years, paraphernalia director of Jobs Daughters for three years and City Golf Board for two years. She was a member of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years, has a life membership in the PTA, a life membership in Methodist Women Society, member of American Business Women Association, was honored twice as "Woman of the Year" by Beta Sigma Phi, held offices in the local Beta Sigma Phi Chapter and was involved with the ladies senior golf league. She was Queen Isabella in 1999. She enjoyed golf and playing bridge.
