Description	:	Van Carroll Jones, age 68 of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at Alive Hospice of Nashville. A native of Cannon County, he lived most of his life in Murfreesboro. He was a manufacturing engineer with Chromalox for 30 years and also worked for U.S. Machine & Tool for 10 years. He was a member of Lascassas Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 48 years Faye Barrett Jones of Murfreesboro; daughters Carolyn Faye Jones Aboosaiedi and Patricia Darnell Jones; son Van Michael Jones; son-in-law Reza Aboosaiedi; three grandchildren Sabira, Ali, and Mahdi; siblings Nannie Lou Street of Nashville, Johnnie Frances Lanier (GA), Henry Rich Jones of Sweetwater, Mary Jones Kelly of Crossville, William King Jones (ID), and Joseph Robert Jones (TX). Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, at Jennings & Ayers, 820 South Church St., Murfreesboro, TN, (615) 893-2422. Interment will be at Donnell Cemetery in Auburntown, Tennessee. Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held at 2:00 at Lascassas Baptist Church, with Rev. Donald McMurry and Rev. Archie King officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or the Muscular Dystrophy/ALS Association would be appreciated.
