Description	:	Little Vann Sikes, the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Vann Sikes of Monroe, died last Saturday afternoon. The death came like a thunderbolt from a clear sky to the parents, for the little fellow was the picture of health and strength, and had been so all his life. Read More	Little Vann Sikes, the three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Vann Sikes of Monroe, died last Saturday afternoon. The death came like a thunderbolt from a clear sky to the parents, for the little fellow was the picture of health and strength, and had been so all his life. Death was caused by hemorrhage, one from the stomach and one on the brain. The disease, called by the doctors pupura hemoragica, is very fatal. The child had been noticed to have surface indications on Thursday but not until Saturday did the matter become serious, and the shock of death followed quickly. The funeral was held on Sunday at the home by Rev. Mr. Abernathy and Rev. Mr. White. The parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their misfortune.
