Read More	Velma (Key) Lane August 19, 1927 ~ September 5, 2021 (age 94) Velma Key Lane, 94, of Pinnacle, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Village Care in King. She was born on August 19, 1927, in Yadkin County to the late David R. Key and Mary Hobson Key of Yadkin County. Velma and Willie G." Billy" Lane had been married 76 years when he passed 2 months ago. She is survived by one brother, Arno Key, who will miss his sister. Velma is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Gay Butcher of Pinnacle and her son, Donnie Lane (Joye) of Florida. Mrs. Lane has many grand- children, great grand- children, and great- great- grandchildren who will sorely miss their Mema. Jackie Ragland (James), Steven Lane (Mary), Joshua Lane (Christine), Nycole Collins, John Rusnak, Jacob Rusnak are her grandchildren. Velma was blessed to have 8 great grandchildren: Meagan Trent (Michael), Abbigail Ragland, Emilia Lane, Ethan Lane, Mason Lane, Amber Barr (Doyle), April Collins, Lucas Rusnak and 7 great-great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Liam, Austin, Abbie, Jessie, Cameron, Jayden. Velma also has one sister-in-law, Mary Key, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter and son -in- law, Martha and John Rusnak, a grandson, Jody Butcher, great granddaughter, Evelyn Lane, sisters: Jessie Pearl Pendry (Howard), Pansy Mae Henderson (Arlon). Brothers: Wade Key (Vicy), Alvis Key ( Betty Jean), Franklin Key, and a baby brother, and sister- in- law, Doris Ann Key. Mrs. Lane was known for her love of family. She was an active member of Fairview United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for many years. Her children and grandchildren remember her as always putting her family and loved ones before herself. She was a truly special lady. Graveside service will be Saturday September 11, 2021 at 11 am at Fairview United Methodist Church, Pinnacle, NC. Conducting the service will be Pastor Duncan Martin and Reverend Joey Lane. Memorial contributions can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice: 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson NC 27017 Cox-Needham Funeral Home will be respectfully servicing the Lane family.
