She was born March 7, 1926 in Inchelium, Washington to parents Florence Toulou Seyler and William Seyler. Velma was raised in Inchelium. They lived most of their lives in Oroville, raising a son, Del, and two daughters, Deanna and Karen. Velma was a dedicated and loving wife and mother, always putting her family first in everything she did. Over the years, she worked packing apples and as a clerk in grocery stores in Oroville. She and Delbert owned and operated the Arco station in Oroville for several years prior to Delbert's retirement in 1975. Her husband preceded her in death in 1990. She is survived by Children: Del Jennings and wife Jane of Wenatchee; Deanna Jennings Fuller and husband Greg of Seattle; Karen Jennings and husband Phil Clark of Olympia; Sisters: Ruth Johnson of Entiat and Rose Kidwell of Republic. Grandchildren: Bryan and Nate Jennings, Willie and Darcy McDonald, and Nick Fuller. Numerous nieces and nephews. Velma was preceded in death by her mother, Florence Seyler in 1971, brothers, Emery Seyler, Wesley Seyler, and Daniel Seyler, and sister, Artie Samuels. Services will be Saturday, June 9, 2001 at 11:00 AM. Bergh Chapel in Oroville with Pastor Randy McAllister, officiating. Interment will follow at the Oroville Riverview Cemetery. Bergh Funeral Service Oroville/Tonasket in care of arrangements."
