She was born July 24, 1923, in Glensted, Missouri, a daughter of the late Edwin Lee and Tracy Pearl (Ash) White. In 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Cecil F. Williams who preceded her in death on June 26, 1975. Margarete was a member of the Glensted United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Lee Ann Winfrey of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren, Cyndi Nestel and Jeremy Collins; great-grandchildren, Noah Nestel and Symphony Collins; brother, Lloyd White of Versailles, Missouri and her sister, Donna White of Versailles, Missouri. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carlos White and her sisters, Juanita White and Wanda Zimmerman. A celebration of Margarete’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2nd, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Dan Adkison officiating. Graveside services and inurnment will follow in the Versailles Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Versailles Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles."
