Burial will fol low at Riverside Cemetery Mrs. Huffman was born Nov.27, 1913, in Fleming to Leslie Morris and Lena (Bartlett)Morris. She graduated from Fleming High School in 1930, then attended University of Denver of one year. She transferred to the University of Colorado and graduated in 1935, She was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. She taught upper grades at Fleming for two years, and then taught social sciences in junior high at Golden for four years. On June 22, 1941, she married Frank Huffman at the Fleming Community Church. They lived in Simla and Lamar before moving to Pueblo in 1945, Four years later, they moved to Sterling. Mrs. Huffman was vice chairman of the Logan County Republican Central Committee in the early 1950s. She was a Gray Lady from 1953 to 1963. In 1960, the Huffman family was named Colorado Family of the Year, and represented Colorado in the All-American Family contest in Florida. Mrs. Huffman was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. The United Methodist Women gave her many respcin sibilities at the local, district and conference levels over many years. She attended the assembly in Houston in 1970, a leadership conference in Cincinnati, and a spiritual retreat in San Francisco. For many years, she represented Christ United at the annual Rocky Mountain conference. She attended the General Church Conference in Atlanta in 1q72 and was a delegate to the Western Jurisdictional con ferences in Seattle in 1972 and Salt Lake Cityin 1976. She was a member of Chapter Z of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and a long-time member of the Sterling Reviewers Club. In 1980, she and Mr. Huffman took the trip of a life time to England, Egypt, Israel, Italy and Switzerland. She is survived by sons Dave Huffman and wife Mae, of Tabernash, and Morris Huffman and wife Caroline, of Emmett, Idaho; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Frank in 2001. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or the P.E,O. scholarship fund.
