Description	:	Venita Mae Kitzman, 88, a lifelong resident of Beaman, entered into eternal life Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center. She resided there for the past eight months, enjoying many new friendships and the wonderful care of their staff. Venita was born on May 12, 1920 in Beaman, Iowa, the daughter of Henry Charles Kitzman and Olga (Rohwer) Kitzman. She graduated from the Beaman High School in 1938. Venita worked as a nurse's aide at the care centers in Conrad and in Grundy Center. She attended the Beaman United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Beaman American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed flower gardening and was a longtime member of the Beaman Gardening Club. Venita was an active leader in the Grundy County 4-H for over 55 years and was a judge at the Grundy County Fair. She also enjoyed traveling and took numerous trips with groups from the Grundy National Bank in Grundy Center. Surviving are three sisters: Lorraine Hertema of Belmond, Marjorie Ann Dickenson of Ottumwa and Mary Jean Clemens of Eldora; a brother, John Kitzman of Apache Junction, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews. In eternal life, Venita has been reunited with her parents; a brother, H. Charles Kitzman and a sister, Anna Elizabeth Kitzman, in infancy. The Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad is caring for Venita and her family.
