Description	:	Vera Belle Grimes Price, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest. Vera was born in Pender County on January 30, 1921 to the late Joseph Arthur Grimes and Maggie Harrell Grimes. She was married to the late Raymond Price. Read More	Vera Belle Grimes Price, 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest. Vera was born in Pender County on January 30, 1921 to the late Joseph Arthur Grimes and Maggie Harrell Grimes. She was married to the late Raymond Price. Mr. And Mrs. Price lived in Goldsboro after their marriage and moved to Wallace in 1954. In 1965, they moved to Camp Jubilee Road in Seven Springs. Vera was a graduate of Rose Hill High School. She attended Hoyle Business School in Raleigh and was a bookkeeper, homemaker and most recently a receptionist at Wayne Memorial Hospital, where she retired in 1997. She was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher and deaconess. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Seven Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Garrett and longtime friend, the Rev. Elliott Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Seven Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Vera is survived by her sons, Dr. William R. (Bobby) Price and wife, Barbara of Winston-Salem and Mr. Jesse Joseph Price and wife, Virginia of Wake Forest; her daughter, Mrs. Brenda Price Spin and husband, Dr. Frederick Spin of Keene, NH; her grandchildren, Mr. William Price, Jr. and wife, Margaret of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Nicole Price Londono and husband, Miguel of Winston-Salem, Dr. Joshua Spin and wife, Lonnie of San Jose, CA, Dr. Greg Spin and wife, Dr. Kay Drengler of Grass Valley, CA, Mr. Joseph Colcough and wife, Deidra of Sophia, Mr. Christopher Colcough and wife, Nicole of Jacksonville, FL, and Mr. Matthew Colcough and wife, Tara; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister, Samuel Grimes, Bertha Evans, William Grimes and Joseph Grimes. The children of Vera Price would like to thank the staff of Hillside Nursing Home in Wake Forest for the excellent care given to their mother.
