Description	:	Mrs. Vera Flossie Nichelson Timmons, living three and one-half miles west and two miles south of Valparaiso, suffered a severe attack of a lingering illness about three months ago. She was removed to the home of her father where she was cared for until her death, February 17. Read More	Mrs. Vera Flossie Nichelson Timmons, living three and one-half miles west and two miles south of Valparaiso, suffered a severe attack of a lingering illness about three months ago. She was removed to the home of her father where she was cared for until her death, February 17. She was born August 18, 1893 near Valparaiso and was 43 years, 5 months and 25 days of age at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Oscar Timmons on May 10, 1918. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, a son Claude, and a daughter, Leora Lee, also her father, C.W. Nichelson; six brothers, Charles of Omaha, Cecil and Claude of Valparaiso, Francis of Davey, Irving of Agnew and Herbert of Scotia, also four sisters, Florence, Hazel, Jennie and Helen all of Valparaiso, many nieces and nephews beside a host of other relatives and friends. Her mother and sister, Mary, have preceded her in death. Mrs. Timmons spent all her life in and near Valparaiso, except a few years immediately following her marriage when she made her home in Raymond. She received her education in the Valparaiso public school and after graduating from the twelfth grade she began a teaching career. She taught in schools near Valparaiso for fourteen years, during which time, she made many sincere friends among her pupils, as well as in the community. After her marriage in 1918, she began housekeeping at Raymond, later moving to different farms near Valparaiso.
