Description	:	Vera LaVon Bonnie Elser, 88, a resident of Wenatchee, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at Colonial Vista Care Center in Wenatchee. She was born on June 18, 1920, to James and Ethel (Kelly) Wilds at Henrietta, OK, where she was raised and educated. In April of 1937, Bonnie moved with her family to Seattle. In August of that same year, she moved to Peshastin and on November 19, 1937, she married John Elser at Leavenworth. John died in 1976. She was born on June 18, 1920, to James and Ethel (Kelly) Wilds at Henrietta, OK, where she was raised and educated. In April of 1937, Bonnie moved with her family to Seattle. In August of that same year, she moved to Peshastin and on November 19, 1937, she married John Elser at Leavenworth. John died in 1976. In 1977, Bonnie moved to Wenatchee, where she has lived ever since. Bonnie was a member of the U.S. Ground Observer Squadron and was a lifetime member of the U.S. Air Force Air Defense Team and was a 40 plus year member of the Eagles Auxiliary #204 Wenatchee. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Sandra Elser of Dryden; daughter, DeLores Edmondson of East Wenatchee; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ethel; her husband, John; and two sisters, Carol Myers and Mildred Delzer. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. at the home of Tom and Sandra Elser at 8804 School Street in Dryden. Private Family Burial will be in the Peshastin Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Wards Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
