Description	:	Vera was the daughter of Elmer and Bertha (Whited)Keasey. She was born and raised on a farm south of Wiota in Cass Co. Iowa. She attended Wiota public schools and after her high school graduation in 1924 she took classes at Iowa State Teachers College that summer and extension classes for several summers afterward. She taught in rural Cass County schools until her marriage in Atlantic, Iowa to Herman Aldag on June 10, 1931. They lived in Atlantic and Greenfield, Iowa, until 1940, when they relocated to Boone. She attended Wiota public schools and after her high school graduation in 1924 she took classes at Iowa State Teachers College that summer and extension classes for several summers afterward. She taught in rural Cass County schools until her marriage in Atlantic, Iowa to Herman Aldag on June 10, 1931. They lived in Atlantic and Greenfield, Iowa, until 1940, when they relocated to Boone. Vera was both a homemaker, and for 27 years, a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School. During this time she took Drake University extension classes. On February 9, 1959, Herman died. Vera remained a widow until December 30, 1973, when she married Walter Jipp. Their union lasted 20 years, until Walter's death. During their marriage, they enjoyed traveling and volunteering for various organizations. Most important to Vera, was her 65 year association with Trinity Lutheran Church. Her many years of faithful service to Trinity was an expression of her strong faith. Vera was an active member of the Retired Teachers' Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, Lioness and Boone Women's Club. A significant contributions was her and Walter's work in assisting to organize the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad and serving as long-time volunteers for that organization.
