Description	:	Vera M. Kochergen Vera M. Kochergen of Fresno went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 10, 2007. She lived her life serving her husband, John Alex Kochergen, her eight children and her God. Vera was born in Guadalupe, Mexico in 1925 to Russian immigrants. At a young age, her parents died and she lived with her sisters. In her early teens, she moved to Delano, Ca. to live with her aunt and it was there that she met her future husband, John A. Kochergen of Fresno went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 10, 2007. She lived her life serving her husband, John Alex Kochergen, her eight children and her God. Vera was born in Guadalupe, Mexico in 1925 to Russian immigrants. At a young age, her parents died and she lived with her sisters. In her early teens, she moved to Delano, Ca. to live with her aunt and it was there that she met her future husband, John A. Kochergen. They were married for 65 years. Vera was very involved in the Russian Molokan Community in Kerman. She, along with her husband and members of the church, made several trips to Russia. On these trips, they connected with relatives that had been left behind, helped rebuild churches that were closed during the 1917 revolution and she helped distribute Bibles. Our mother bravely fought her battle against cancer with much grace and dignity. She taught her children how to live and also how to die. She will be greatly missed by all. Her children arise and call her blessed; Her husband also; and he praises her. Proverbs 31:28 She is survived by her husband, John A. Kochergen; Sons and their wives, John and Leslie Kochergen, and Mike and Tanya Kochergen; Daughters and their husbands, Kathy and Allen Korneff, June and Robert Belikoff, Vernie and Philip Podsakoff, Natalie and Jay Kalpakoff, Janet and Scott Schoenfeld, and Ann Shuken; 17 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
