Mrs. Chestnut was born in Conway, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Shorda Alton and Villa Mae ''Bead'' Lewis Doyle. She was a homemaker and throughout life kept the community's children at her home. Mrs. Chestnut was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Womens Missionary Union. She was predeceased by a son, Billy Wayne Chestnut; two brothers, Freeman and Lynwood Doyle; and one sister, Genieve Chestnut. Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Billy Chestnut of Conway; three daughters, Teresa Long and husband, Jerry, of Conway, Denise Page and husband, John Perry, of Surfside Beach and Becky Barnhill and husband, Tony, of Conway; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Doyle and Wallace Doyle, both of Loris; three sisters, Joyce Dorsey and husband, Harold, and Betty Johnson and husband, Boyd, all of Loris and Katie Graham and husband, Bill, of Aynor. Funeral services will held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007, from Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Kinlaw and the Rev. Roger Chestnut officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
