Vera was born April 16, 1923 in Camp Crook, South Dakota to Albert and Addie (Wert) Turbiville. She graduated from Camp Crook High School. She married Ray M. Rolph on April 16, 1942 in Ekalaka. They worked herding sheep for several area ranchers. They worked together hand in hand on the... Read More	VERA M. ROLPH, 86 of Ekalaka, MT died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Dahl Memorial Nursing Home in Ekalaka. Vera was born April 16, 1923 in Camp Crook, South Dakota to Albert and Addie (Wert) Turbiville. She graduated from Camp Crook High School. She married Ray M. Rolph on April 16, 1942 in Ekalaka. They worked herding sheep for several area ranchers. In 1945 they purchased a ranch North West of Camp Crook and remained there all of their married life, except for the seven years they lived in Belle Fourche. They worked together hand in hand on the ranch. Vera was a wonderful hostess and cook. She enjoyed having company and welcomed everyone to dinner. She lived for her church and her family and recieved great joy in being around her grandchildren. Ray and Vera were the pioneers of the Community Bible Church in Camp Crook and worked hard in getting the church started. Grateful for sharing her life are her Children, Sandra (Larry) Lyons of Buffalo, SD and Murray (Rita) Rolph of Mill Iron, MT; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, JoEllen Rolph of Piedmont, SD; one brother, Jim (Elsie) Turbiville of Bowman, ND; two sisters, Ida Barreth of Kalispell, MT and MaryLea (Stanley) Negaard of Rock Valley, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Rolph; a son, Rayford "Max" Rolph and an infant grandson; two sisters, Edith Burghduff and Adeline Mackey; four brothers, Dewey, Bill, Gene and Albert Turbiville. Visitation was Tuesday, December 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kline Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche and for 1 hour before services. Funeral services were held at the Camp Crook Rec Center 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9 with Pastor Ron Fanning officiating. Burial followed at the Fairview Cemetery in Camp Crook. The family suggests memorials to the Buffalo and Camp Crook Ambulance. Family and friends may leave written condolences at klinefuneralchapel.com
