Description	:	Vera May McPherson married Charles Marvin Brown in 1935 in Kansas City, Jackson county, Missouri. The marriage produced three children. She received her teaching degree, and in 1951 began working as a school teacher in Kansas. She began teaching in Chetopa school system in 1957, and continuted there until her retirement. At the time of Vera's death, she had eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Vera is buried next to her son, Teddy Gene Brown, and next to her father, Gerald Leo McPherson. Dee Wolfe officiated at her funeral and vocal music was presented by Fannie Bassett and Rev. Dee Wolfe. The organist was Betty Withrow. Pallbearers were: Clifford Hart, Rex Hart, Edwin Smith, Jack Wilkinson, Brad Brown, Rusty Willhite (the last two are her grandsons).
