J. and Mattie Kelley, was born July 25, 1896, and departed this life, October 19, 1944; at the age of 48 years, 2 months and 24 days. She lived her entire life in Clarke county, Iowa. She graduated from the Murray high school with the class of 1918. She was united in marriage with Edward R. Loomis, June 18, 1919. To this union were born three children. This companion bereaved the family, in passing away, on May 25, 1929. On, February 23, 1930, she was united in marriage with William Rinner. To this union were born two sons, Will. P. age 12, and Richard Dean age six. She confessed faith in Christ when just a young woman and united with the Union Methodist church, where her membership remained until her Master called her home. Those who survive her are the husband, William Rlnner; the three children by the first marriage, Mrs. Opal Wlckett of Huxley. Iowa, Mrs. Doris Lathrum of Murray, Iowa; and a son, Leo Laverne Loomis, with the paratroopers in Holland; the two sons of the last marriage, William P. and Richard Dean Rinner, at home; her mother, Mrs. Mattie Kelley of Murray, Iowa, and two grandchildren, Phillip and Phyllis Wlckett of Huxley, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Aletha Geer, and a nephew, Kenneth Geer, both of Des Moines, Iowa. There are other relatives and many friends. The funeral service was conducted from the Watts Funeral Home at Murray, Monday, Oct. 23, at two o'clock, by Rev. R. Underwood, pastor of the Methodist church of Murray. A mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Stanley Watts, Miss Lulu White, True Woods and L. R. Welker, sang three numbers "Does Jesus Care," "Going, Down the Valley" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. C. W. Arnold accompanied at the piano. The pallbearers were: Boyd liams, Dale Iiams, Galen Burgus, C. H. Housh, W. S. Jeffers and W. T. Woods. The body was laid to rest in the Union church cemetery.
