Description	:	******************************************** Funeral Mass for Vera Harte, age 101, of O’Neill, formerly of Inman, NE will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill. Burial will be in the O’Neill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2018 from 5-7 pm with a Catholic Daughter’s Rosary at 7 pm at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Vera passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital in O’Neill. Memorials can be made to the family for future designation. Biglin’s Mortuary of O’Neill is in charge of arrangements. Biglin’s Mortuary of O’Neill is in charge of arrangements. Vera was born on October 3, 1917 in Scottville, Nebraska to Joseph and Edith (Richter) Schollmeyer. She was the youngest of 16 children. She grew up on the family farm and attended grade school at Scottville, some high school in Lynch, and graduated from Inman School in 1936. She married Leo Harte on October 18, 1943 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in O’Neill. To this union three children were born; Joe, Donna, and Tom. They settled on a ranch near Inman, Nebraska until they retired and moved to O’Neill in 1980. She spent her time being a housewife, raising her children and in her later years volunteering at the O’Neill nursing home and Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital. Vera was a very devoted Catholic and was a long-time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She was a member of the Legion of Mary, St. Patrick’s Altar Society, and Catholic Daughters. She will always be remembered for being a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandma. Vera is survived by her three children; Joe Harte of Inman, NE, Donna McGinn and husband Jack of O’Neill, Tom Harte of Inman, NE; eight grandchildren: Kim, Kurt, Kay, Kent, Mike, Danny, Traci, and Bobby; six great grandchildren: Charlie, Kenzie, Cody, Alyssa, Madison, and Grace; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo; seven brothers and 8 sisters. (biglinsmortuary.com/obituary)
