Description	:	Injuries received in an automobile accident on Sunday, September 22, proved fatal for Vera Viola Leppo of Silver Run. Death, which was reported to be due to cerebral hemorrhage, came on Saturday, the 28th, at the University Hospital, Baltimore, where she had been a patient since the day of the accident. She had never regained consciousness. Miss Leppo was the only child of Charles A. and S. Estella Yingling Leppo who survive. Read More	Injuries received in an automobile accident on Sunday, September 22, proved fatal for Vera Viola Leppo of Silver Run. Death, which was reported to be due to cerebral hemorrhage, came on Saturday, the 28th, at the University Hospital, Baltimore, where she had been a patient since the day of the accident. She had never regained consciousness. Miss Leppo was the only child of Charles A. and S. Estella Yingling Leppo who survive. Mr. Leppo is a deputy in the office of the Register of Wills for Carroll County. Miss Mildred Yingling. also of Silver Run, who was injured in the same accident, was reported to be improving nicely at the hospital. Both girls were to have entered Western Maryland College for the 1940-41 term. The girls were en route to Baltimore when their car and a machine driven by Wallace Eckert, 119 1/4 West Main street, Westminster, were in collision. Mr. Eckert has been charged with manslaughter and has posted a bond in the sum of $1000. He waived a preliminary hearing, pending the action of the grand jury for the November term of the Circuit Court for Carroll County. She was a member of St. Mary's Reformed church and Sunday school, and was a graduate of Westminster High school with the class of 1939. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, meeting at the parental home at 2 P. M. Further rites were held in St. Mary's Reformed church. Silver Run. Her pastor, the Rev. C. Earl Gardner, officiated.
