Description	:	Verda Tomlin Tucker was born Oct. 17th, 1913 at Brush Creek, near Manchester, Ohio and departed this life at the hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, April 18th, 1987, at the age of 73, where she had been a patient for two days. She was the daughter of Lee and Sylvia Poole Tomlin. Verda was united in marriage to Forrest (Bud) Tucker and lived in the Island Creek Community for many years. She was the daughter of Lee and Sylvia Poole Tomlin. Verda was united in marriage to Forrest (Bud) Tucker and lived in the Island Creek Community for many years. To this union three children were born, Bobby, who lived just a few days, Bill and Shirly who survives. Verda worked at the Hercules Factory in Manchester, but in recent years she lived in West Union, Ohio and worked with the Senior Companion Program. To know Verda was to love her. She had a smile and a good word for everyone. She was a patient at Bethesda North Hospital for two weeks and then lived with her daughter and son. She never complained of her pain and was ever grateful for all that was done for her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley, her son, Bill, two grandchildren, Donna Stamper and Robbie Goodrich; one great-grandson, Bryan Stamper; a sister, Alberta Crago; a brother Dennis Tomlin and other relatives. Verda was preceded in death by one infant son, Bobby, her husband, and her mother and father.
