Mrs. Hawks was a farmer and homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Mary Ruth & Ricky King of Ararat, VA; granddaughters, Amanda & J.T. Hodges of Rocky Mount, VA & Stephanie King of Winston-Salem, NC; grandson, Ricky King of King, NC; special great-granddaughter, Reagan Hodges of Rocky Mount, VA; special great-grandson, Jordan King... Read More	Mrs. Vergie Maureen Hall Hawks, age 84, of Ararat, VA passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at her home. She was born May 10, 1931 to the late Jim & Mary Ann Dollarhite Hall. Mrs. Hawks was a farmer and homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Mary Ruth & Ricky King of Ararat, VA; granddaughters, Amanda & J.T. Hodges of Rocky Mount, VA & Stephanie King of Winston-Salem, NC; grandson, Ricky King of King, NC; special great-granddaughter, Reagan Hodges of Rocky Mount, VA; special great-grandson, Jordan King of Winston-Salem, NC and several special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, Barnie Hawks; a daughter, Bonita Hawks; granddaughter, Jenna Hawks; sisters, Helen Collins, Wavie Woodall, Novie Newman, Nannie Smith, Lelia Smith, Verda Eades, Sallie Slate, Bertha Noonkester & Myrtle Inscore and brothers, Nathie Hall, James Hall, Willie Hall & Robert Hall. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Westview Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Darren Slate, Rev. Roger Brown & Rev. Davis Love with interment to follow at Willis Gap Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at West View Baptist Church from 1 p.m. until time of service.
