Randy Bader officiating. Casket bearers are Richard Doffin Jr., Rod Doffin, Russ Doffin, Mark Kaspar, Kim McDaniels, Dick Overholt. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. He was born Jan. 29, 1946, at Winnetoon, Knox Co., to Vernon and Eunice (Scheer) Jensen; was baptized Feb. 17, 1946, at Christ Lutheran Church at Bazile Mills and confirmed May 10, 1959, at Christ Lutheran Church at Bazile Mills. He attended Bazile Mills grade school and graduated from Creighton High School in 1964. Verle married Linda F. Sorensen on March 26, 1964, at Christ Lutheran Church at Bazile Mills. They moved to Norfolk in 1965. He worked construction and started Jensen Construction in 1970. He started working in 1982 at Henningsen Foods in Norfolk in the maintenance department. He loved to garden, farm and cut firewood. He enjoyed building and was a master craftsman in woodworking. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Norfolk. Survivors are his wife, Linda, of Norfolk; daughter Jeanne Jensen of Norfolk; son Jeff and wife Lisa Jensen of Lemont, Ill.; four grandchildren; one brother, Milan and wife Ro Jensen of Creighton; three sisters, Iris and husband Gerald Wiltse of Modale, Iowa, Dianne Greer of Omaha and Marci Jensen of Creighton; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
