She was also a proud member of the Shiloh United Methodist Women. Verna Faye Helmsing, 91, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, at Oak Pointe Assisted Living Center, Warrenton, Missouri, surrounded by her family. Left with memories are her son and his wife, of Foristell, MO; a daughter, of Marthasville, MO; 3 granddaughters and spouses, and 2 great-grandsons. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews in the Washington County, NE, area. Verna was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and five sisters: Helena Jensen, Wilma Plugge, Mildred Butterfield, Dorothy Plugge and Carrie Rosenbaum. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. January 18 at Shiloh United Methodist Church. Interment followed at Eternal Peace Cemetery, Wentzville, MO.
