Description	:	Verna Irene (Richardson) Sharman May 29, 1928 ~ January 26, 2020 (age 91) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother at the age of 91 years. She was born in Oyen and spent her early years on the family farm at Fulham. She went off to Alberta College and then, in June 1947, married Verdell Sharman from Leaman. Read More	Verna Irene (Richardson) Sharman May 29, 1928 ~ January 26, 2020 (age 91) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother at the age of 91 years. She was born in Oyen and spent her early years on the family farm at Fulham. She went off to Alberta College and then, in June 1947, married Verdell Sharman from Leaman. Together they raised 6 children. Mom loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren (21), great-grandchildren (47) and great-great-grandchildren (2). She loved cooking for her family and we all have special memories of the foods that she made because she knew we loved them. She excelled at painting and gardening, growing a huge garden when on the farm and flower and shrub gardens that we all envied. She also enjoyed her years in her condo in Edson as she rekindled many old friendships and lived closer to many grandchildren. The last few years Mom has enjoyed life at the Pembina Village in Evansburg and we have appreciated all the care and attention she has benefited from while there. Mom was predeceased by her husband Verdell Sharman, son Wayne Sharman, daughter-in-law Cathy Sharman and daughter Carmyn Grant. She is also predeceased by her parents Bob and Jessie Richardson, sisters Thelma Larsen and Gloria Conover and brothers Roy and Ken Richardson. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta; Drayton Valley Health Foundation; Good Samaritan Society, Box 330, Evansburg, AB, T0E 0T0 (Memo: Pembina Village Recreation Program)
