Description	:	Verna L. Fagot, 87 years of age, of Holdrege, (formerly of Bertrand), passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Christian Homes Care Community in Holdrege. Verna was born July 23, 1921 on the family farm northwest of Bertrand in Gosper County, the youngest of four children to John and Martha (Ziebarth) Bredenkamp. Verna attended rural school in the Bertrand and Smithfield area. Verna was united in marriage to Lewis Fagot on January 7, 1941 in Denver, CO. To this union two children were born: Debra and Kevin. Fagot, 87 years of age, of Holdrege, (formerly of Bertrand), passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Christian Homes Care Community in Holdrege. Verna was born July 23, 1921 on the family farm northwest of Bertrand in Gosper County, the youngest of four children to John and Martha (Ziebarth) Bredenkamp. Verna attended rural school in the Bertrand and Smithfield area. Verna was united in marriage to Lewis Fagot on January 7, 1941 in Denver, CO. To this union two children were born: Debra and Kevin. She and Lewis moved back to Nebraska and resided in Lexington, Nebraska for 13 years before returning to her family's farm northwest of Bertrand. They continued farming until 1982, when they moved into Bertrand. Verna was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. In her retirement years, she enjoyed her home and garden, playing cards and pool with friends and family, and following her grandchildren's activities. Verna leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Lewis of Holdrege; daughter, Deb Jensen and her husband, Dan of Overton, Nebraska; son, Kevin Bredenkamp and his wife, Nancy of Hastings, Nebraska; four grandchildren: Brandon Jensen and wife, Michele of Aurora, CO, Kimberley Beddow and husband, Christopher of Parker, CO; Morgan and Colton Bredenkamp of Hastings; and two great-grandchildren: Lewis and Nolan Beddow of Parker, CO. She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Aileen Bredenkamp of Kearney, Nebraska, Naomi Fagot of Lexington, Louise Roe of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Marilyn Fagot of Sun City West, Arizona, and a host of relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers: Ed and Alfred Bredenkamp and sister, Hilda (Bredenkamp) Suhr.
