Her funeral service will be 11 AM Thursday January 30, 2014 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Burris and Rev. Eddie Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Stanly Gardens of Memory. She was married to the late Marshall Glenn Bailey who preceded her in death. She was a retired employee of Albemarle Spinning Mill. She attended Dunn's Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include sons Steve Bailey and wife Susan of Albemarle, Michael Bailey and wife Carla of Albemarle, daughters Hilda Carpenter and husband Donald of Albemarle, Paulette Whitley and husband Roger of Norwood, Linda Harkey and husband Larry of Albemarle, Deborah Bailey of Albemarle, and Wanda Furr and husband David of Albemarle, sisters Cannie Hudson and Helen Hatley, 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert Burris, four sisters Beatrice Pickler, Clara Webb, Mary Hudon and Ruby Scott and a great-great-grandchild.
