Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Wayne Sneller officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Wayne Sneller officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Boone was born January 23, 1933, in Sioux Center, the son of William H. and Carrie (Ver Steeg) Boone. He married Ruth Huisman on August 5, 1955, in Orange City. He enjoyed camping, fishing, music and sang in the church choir for many years. He was a veteran and served as a volunteer fireman and had been a bus driver for Sioux Center Community Schools. Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Gregg and Shari of Sioux Center and Eric and Nancy of Tyler, Texas; a daughter and her husband, Kim and Dave Anderson of Storm Lake; nine grandchildren, Andrea, Jessica and Kirsten Anderson, Tyler, Haley, Kiley, Myles, Aaron and Jacob Boone; two brothers, Marvin of Sioux Center and Dr. Raymond of Jacksonville, Texas; and eight sisters, June Van Den Berg, Karen De Boer and Ruth Meyer, all of Sioux Center, Joan Den Hartog and Audrey Gesink, both of Orange City, Carolyn Sneller and Judith Friese, both of Parker, South Dakota, and Lillian Hogan of Lakewood, California. He was preceded in death by two brothers, William D. and Kenneth; and a sister, Annabel Cochran. Memorials may be directed to Sioux Center Emergency Medical Technicians and the "Gift of Life Transplant House" in Rochester, Minnesota. Sioux Center News 2001-01-03.
