Description	:	Funeral services for Vernon Edward Patterson, 40, of Bezanson, who died August 1, victim of a farm accident, were held from Bezanson Hall August 4. Rev. G. B. Johnston officiated. Born in Grande Prairie, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Patterson, Mr. Patterson served five years overseas in the Canadian Army. He farmed in the Bezanson district and was a member of the West Smoky Legion, Bezanson Stampede Committee, Bezanson Memorial Hall Committee and the Home and School. Always ready to lend a helping hand, Mr. Patterson was highly thought of by his neighbors and will be sadly missed.
