Description	:	Vernon Frey, age 97 years, of Archbold, passed away late Friday night, December 11, 2009, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. He was born February 27, 1912, near Pettisville, a son of Ezra and Cora (Miller) Frey. He married Marie Crossgrove on June 1, 1937, and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2008. A lifelong resident of the Pettisville/Archbold area, he farmed, owned and operated Vernon Frey Well Drilling, and worked at Lugbill Supply Co. in Archbold for about 20 years. Read More	Vernon Frey, age 97 years, of Archbold, passed away late Friday night, December 11, 2009, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. He was born February 27, 1912, near Pettisville, a son of Ezra and Cora (Miller) Frey. He married Marie Crossgrove on June 1, 1937, and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2008. A lifelong resident of the Pettisville/Archbold area, he farmed, owned and operated Vernon Frey Well Drilling, and worked at Lugbill Supply Co. in Archbold for about 20 years. He was a member of Zion Mennonite Church in Archbold, and prior to attending Zion, he with his wife served the Bancroft Mennonite Church in Toledo for 10 years. He is survived by five children, Elaine Frey of Elkhart, IN, Donald (Connie) Frey of Gastonia, NC, Duane (Peggy) Frey of Ft. Wayne, IN, Diane (Dan) Bodiker of Goshen, IN, and Joyce (Jerry) Troyer of Loveland, CO; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Wilbur Frey, Roy Frey and Glenferd Frey; and two sisters, Naomi Leupp and Orpha Frey. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at Zion Mennonite Church with Pastors Sherm Kauffman and Mona Sauder officiating. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery.
