Born near Preston on Nov. 5, 1894, the son of the late Charles Jefferson Wright and Annie Harding Wright, he lived in three different centuries. He was a farmer all of his life, growing truck crops, as well as operating a dairy farm. Wright FEDERALSBURG - Vernon Otto Wright, 106, died at Caroline County Nursing Home in Denton Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000. Born near Preston on Nov. 5, 1894, the son of the late Charles Jefferson Wright and Annie Harding Wright, he lived in three different centuries. He was a farmer all of his life, growing truck crops, as well as operating a dairy farm. He was a member of the First Church of God in Federalsburg, where he was the teacher of the Men's Adult Sunday School Class for many years. He is survived by two daughters, Louise Adams and Hazel Robinson, both of Federalsburg; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife, the former Lois Annie Shufelt, who died May 11, 1985, and a sister, Martha Robinson, formerly of New Castle, Del., who died in fall 2000. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Dec. 5 at Framptom-Hawkins-Eskow Funeral Home, P.A., in Federalsburg. The Rev. Peter Smith and the Rev. Arthur Bebee will officiate. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. Friends may be received at the funeral home two hours prior to the service. Donations may be made in his memory to the First Church of God, 101 Bloomingdale Ave., Federalsburg, MD 21632.
