Description	:	Vernon R. Busby, 85, of Livingston, died early Saturday, August 18, 2001, at Livingston Memorial Hospital. Mr. Busby was born on December 3, 1915 in Emigrant, the son of Sidney E. and Gertrude (Roup) Busby. He spent his early life and attended schools in the Paradise Valley and worked at various jobs in the area, including in Yellowstone National Park. While working in the park, he met C. Busby, 85, of Livingston, died early Saturday, August 18, 2001, at Livingston Memorial Hospital. Mr. Busby was born on December 3, 1915 in Emigrant, the son of Sidney E. and Gertrude (Roup) Busby. He spent his early life and attended schools in the Paradise Valley and worked at various jobs in the area, including in Yellowstone National Park. While working in the park, he met C. Jenive Sumner and they were married on June 10, 1942 in Basin, Wyoming. During the next several years, Mr. Busby ranched and worked on construction in the area, as well as in Clinton, where they lived from 1964 to 1999, when they returned to Livingston. He retired in the early 1980s. Mr. Busby was a member of the Park County Pioneer Society Society. He was a talented musician, playing the fiddle, guitar and piano, among other instruments. He enjoyed dancing and fishing. Survivors include his wife Jenive, one daughter; four brothers; four sisters; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney E. and Gertrude (Roup) Busby; his son Merle Ray Busby; brother Ernie and granddaughter Tarysa. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21st at Franzen Davis Funeral Home in Livingston. James Blatter of the LDS Church will officiate. Dedication of the grave and interment will follow in Shorthill Cemetery south of Livingston. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice. Franzen Davis Funeral Home was in charge of assisting the family with arrangements.
