Description	:	May 23, 1918 - Carroll Times - Word was received in the city early Saturday morning that Mr Nick Wille, daughter of Peter Berger of this city, had died at an Omaha hospital at 1 o'clock that morning following an operation on the Thurday before. The operation was not thought to be serious and when Mrs. Wille left for the hospital she had no fear for the operation and was confident she would be with her family in about two weeks. The operation was not thought to be serious and when Mrs. Wille left for the hospital she had no fear for the operation and was confident she would be with her family in about two weeks. The first knowledge members of the family in this city had of the seriousness of her condtion was at eleven thirty Saturday night and a later message stating her death. Mrs. Wille, who before her marage was Miss Veronica Berger, of this city, was born near Mount Carmel, July 7, 1880, and when a smail child moved to this city with her parents. She was united in marriage to Nick Wille September 3, 1907. They lived in Carroll two years after their marriage moving to Omaha in the fall of 1909, where Mr. Wille is an express messenger out of Omaha. Besides her husband she is survived by four small children, Louis, Marian, Carl and Robert. She also leaves her father, two brothers, Frank Berger, of this city, and Will Berger, of Danbury, and three sisers, Mrs. Joe Wiedemeyer, Mrs. Charles Schmich and Miss Lena Berger. Funeral services were held at S.S. Peter and Paul's church Monday morning. The services were in charge of Father Kuemper assisted by Father Roder. Relatives who attended the funeral from away were: Mrs. Swoboda, of Omaha; Will and Paul Berger, of Danbury; Frank Kane, of Waterloo, and Father Berger, of Manning.
