Condolences may be sent to Shirley Gollnick 44066 143rd St. Webster, SD 57274 Veronica “Verna” Elizabeth Gollnick was born on April 22, 1937 to Edward and Anna (Gockowski) Kampa at Grenville, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Grenville. Verna attended country school near the family farm. After her education she worked at Wist Produce in Webster. On June 27, 1959 She was united in marriage to Philip Gollnick at Grenville, South Dakota. The couple made their home by Grenville until purchasing a farm near Webster. Verna worked as a homemaker raising their four children. Over the years, Verna raised many animals, her favorites being the donkeys and sheep. Philip passed away in 2002. Verna continued to live on the farm until August 2019, when she moved to the nursing home. Verna was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Waubay. She enjoyed embroidery, talking on the phone, raising animals, gardening, canning, baking and visiting with family and friends. Verna passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the age of 83 years and 19 days. She will be missed by her three daughters: Mary (Mike) Hoffman of North St. Paul, MN, Theresa Gollnick of Pine City, MN, and Shirley Gollnick of Webster, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Philip Jr., six siblings: Lillian, Lorraine, Sylvester, Benny, Frank, and Henry. - Fiksdal Funeral Home
