Minnie was the sixth child born to William and Dora Toker on February 20, 1924. Read More	Source: Southland Funeral Chapel obituary Veronica Minnie Toker Geremia, beloved wife of the late Peter Geremia, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2002 at the age of 78 years. Minnie was the sixth child born to William and Dora Toker on February 20, 1924. She lived on her father’s farm north of Vauxhall until about the eighth grade when she and her younger sister moved to Lethbridge to work in the kitchen at St. Michael’s Hospital. There she met her future husband , and she married Peter Geremia in September 1945. She then moved to his family farm and had their first two children of two girls. Six years later they purchased their own farm two miles south of Retlaw. They had two more children, a boy and another girl. Minnie enjoyed music and dances, which she and her husband attended many of in their younger days. She and Peter lived and farmed in Retlaw until Peter’s passing in 1982. Minnie then moved to to Vauxhall, where she lived for several years until August 1995 when she became a resident of Clearview Lodge. In January 1998 she moved to Taber Continuing Care due to failing health. She was an accomplished cook, baker, and was good at sewing and crocheting. She was a good friend to the neighbours in her community and a loving mom and grandma to her kids and grandchildren. Minnie will be sadly missed by her children She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1982; brothers Johnny, George, Pete, Mike and sisters Mary, Anne and Eileen.
