Inglis, age 71, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Monday, October 4, 1993 at Anamosa Community Hospital in Anamosa after a long illness. She was born April 22, 1922 near Sloan, the daughter of Effie and Robert Ganoe Poulter and began her education in the country schools near Salem. In 1940 she graduated from City High in Iowa City. Versa then attended the University of Iowa. She played violin in the University orchestra during her high school and college years. Versa worked as a medical secretary in Iowa City for a short time before moving to Washington, D.C. where she worked as a clerk typist for the FBI. On Feb. 20, 1944 she married Alex Inglis at Moline, IL. Versa lived in Moline until Alex returned from the war. The couple then moved to their farm near Hale where they still lived at the time of her death. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Wyoming and a member of the United Presbyterian Women. She had served as Sunday School Superintendent for many years, was a long-time choir member and was the first lady elected to be a church elder. She was also a member of the Hale Golden Rule Club and had been active in the Hale Wapsie Wanderers 4-H Club and had served on the Jones County 4-H Committee. She is survived by her husband Alex, two daughters, Esther (Mrs. Lon) Taylor of Manchaca, Texas, and Mary (Mrs. Vernon) Zahradnik of Cedar Rapids; one son Mike of Wyoming; 14 grandchildren, one brother Joseph Poulter of Belvidere, IL, and one sister Mary (Mrs. Delwyn) Foust of Garrison. She was preceded in death by her parents and two-year-old daughter Sandra Lea. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 7 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Wyoming. Burial was in Wyoming Cemetery. Friends called Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Hayden Funeral Home in Wyoming. Casket bearers were Bruce Reade, James Eichhorn, Kenneth Walters, Daryl Wherry, Randy Mohr and Daryl Hanna. Honorary casket bearers were William Reade and John Eichhorn
