Description	:	Funeral services for Vesta Stelter, age 73 of Mott, will be held at 10:30 am Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Leipzig. Pastor John Amundson, will officiate with burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 to 7:00 pm Sunday, April 18 at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott and on Monday one hour prior to the services at the church. Vesta Julia Sprecher was born on January 5, 1937 in Mott, ND, the daughter of Herbert and Emma (Baesler) Sprecher. She was raised 4 ½ miles NW of New Leipzig. Vesta farmed and hauled coal out of Herbert Watson's coal mine south of Mott. Vesta also worked in construction, driving cat and running the conveyor. She later moved 25 miles north of Burt where she finally found home. She loved living and working on the farm. Vesta enjoyed gardening, yard work, cooking and canning. Vesta had a great sense of humor and the ability to make people laugh. She enjoyed old-time and gospel music and dancing in her younger years. She moved to Mott and worked at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home for 14 ½ years and retired due to health issues. In her later years, she found a passion for collecting angel figurines and found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. Vesta passed away on Thursday night, April 15, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mott. Surviving family members include her daughter, Debbie (Gordon) Bader, of Mott, ND; her sons, Daryl Stelter, of Jamestown, ND and Jason (Jennifer) Gruebele, of Dickinson, ND; four grandchildren, Jenna Rae Stelter, Amelia Hoff and Hayley and Hudson Gruebele; two brothers, Vernon (Loretta) Sprecher, New Leipzig, ND and Victor (Betty) Sprecher, Bismarck, ND; her twin sister, Velma Schramm, Mott, ND and her sister, Viann (Larry) Becker, of Garden City, KS. Vesta was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Virgil and a sister, Velore.
