Read More	~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ FUNERAL SERVICES FOR VICTOR DUFF TODAY Victor Adelbert Duff, 60, was found dead in the Roaring Fork river near the Mt. Utilities Pump House, Monday, at 1:00 p.m. by searchers who were notified that Mr. Duff was missing since early Monday morning. It was determined the deceased committed suicide by jumping into the Roaring Folk about 7:00 a. m. He left a note of his intentions which was found by Sheriff Lorain Herwick in the glove compartment of his truck. Mr. Duff had been in constant pain for several years from a heart condition and had been extremely depressed recently because of his ill health. The community was deeply shocked to hear of the death of Mr. Duff, who was very well liked everyone. Mr Duff was born in Concordia, Kansas and served in World War I. He was in the garage business until 1930. In 1922 Mr Duff married Margaret Brooks and in 1939 Mr. and Mrs. Duff moved to Aspen where Mr. Duff served as night marshal for six years. He was a lifetime member of the Elks and a member of the American Legion. Funeral services were held today at the Sardy Mortuary with Reverend Sigurd Burch and Elk members officiating. Burial was held at Red Butte Cemetery. The deceased is survived by his wife, Margaret Duff, and brothers and sisters.
