Description	:	Victor Earl Holdiman was born September 21, 1911 in Gallatin Valley son of Godfrey and Eunice Holdiman. He attended the Belgrade school and graduated from Belgrade. He helped his dad on the farm and also helped the neighbors. Victor married Christine Brooks on August 18, 1936. She moved to Montana from Tennessee. She had a son born on October 10, 1934, whom Victor adopted. His name was Billy James. Lona Louise was born at the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital on March 13, 1937. He attended the Belgrade school and graduated from Belgrade. He helped his dad on the farm and also helped the neighbors. Victor married Christine Brooks on August 18, 1936. She moved to Montana from Tennessee. She had a son born on October 10, 1934, whom Victor adopted. His name was Billy James. Lona Louise was born at the Bozeman Deaconess Hospital on March 13, 1937. In 1939 the family moved to the Cleveland, Tennessee area. The winters were too cold for Christine and the snow caused her to get snow blindness. Also Victor had to move to a warmer climate. Victor worked as a mechanic and then moved onto the Everheart Dairy Farm. He lived on the farm one year, then went into the Army. He served in World War II in 1940. He served there until the war ended in 1945. He left there with an honorable discharge because of poor health. He came back to Cleveland, Tennessee and went back to work on the Everheart Farm employed by Ray Moss and worked as a mechanic in Cleveland. He worked there until his death. He died suddenly on October 26, 1964 on the farm while working in the fields and is buried in the Sunset Memorial Garden in Charleston, Tennessee. Besides the two children mentioned above, he had four others. They were Marie Grace born on May 10, 1939, Albert Henry born on August 6, 1941, Emma Matilda born on February 3, 1944 and Daisy June born on January 5, 1949. His wife Christine (Brooks) passed away on March 9, 1970. Obituary of Victor Holdiman Victor Earl, 53, of Rout 2, Webb Road, Chattanooga, TN died suddenly, after his lungs collapsed, while working near Apison Monday afternoon. A native of Montana, Mr. Holdiman had been a resident of Hamilton County for more than 27 years. He was employed by Ray Moss and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Christine Brooks Holdiman of Chattanooga, TN; two sons, Albert H. of Chattanooga, TN and Bill Holdiman of Cleveland, TN; four daughters, Mrs. Louise Clonce and Mrs. June Dunn of Chattanooga, TN; Mrs. Emma Overturf of Fort Oglethorpe, GA and Mrs. Marie Lynn of Cleveland; his mother, Mrs. Eunice Holdiman of Bozeman, MT. There are several brothers and sisters living in MT. Also 13 grandchildren survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 P.M. in the Mount Olivet Church of God. Rev. Frank Ellis and Rev. Basil Cantrell will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Garden, Charleston, TN. The body is at the Turner Funeral Home where it will remain until noon Thursday, at which time it will be taken to the church to lie in state. Arrangments by Turner's.
