Description	:	OBIT: Victor John Wiltgen, 84, longtime Ellensburg resident, died at his home on October 19, 1998. He was born November 12, 1923 in Iowa, one of 10 children born to Joseph and Caroline (Zweibohmer) Wiltgen. Victor came to the Kittitas Valley in 1931. Prior to his marriage, he worked for the Clerf family at $1 per day for several years. He married Una Hayes in 1931 [1938], she preceded him in death in 1938. Read More	OBIT: Victor John Wiltgen, 84, longtime Ellensburg resident, died at his home on October 19, 1998. He was born November 12, 1923 in Iowa, one of 10 children born to Joseph and Caroline (Zweibohmer) Wiltgen. Victor came to the Kittitas Valley in 1931. Prior to his marriage, he worked for the Clerf family at $1 per day for several years. He married Una Hayes in 1931 [1938], she preceded him in death in 1938. [She died in 1975] He then worked for the Ellensburg Street Department for 21 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Catholic Church, a 50-year member of the Moose Lodge and a member of the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed working in the yard and with his flowers. Victor will be remembered as a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather, and he will be missed. Survivors include his wife, Esther of Walla Walla, his daughter, Shirleen (Marvin) Sterkel of Thorp; stepsons, Phillip Fitchen of Walla Walla, and Gary Fitchen both of Auburn, granddaughter, Kendra Sterkel of Ellensburg, grandson, Marvin Sterkel Jr. of Ellensburg, great grandchildren, Kody and Krystal Sterkel, sisters, Marie Bartel, Zephy Arch, Stella Wiltgen, Virginia McFee and Correne Michelin, all of Rochester, Minn. and Viola O'Shaughnessey of Ossian, Iowa; and a brother, Vivian Wiltgen, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Gerald; three stepsons, John, Donald, and Kenneth Weiss, two sisters, and a brother. Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, October 23 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Ellensburg. The family suggest memorials to Kittitas County Heart Fund, c/o United Bank, 500 N.
