Victor John Pinter was born July 20, 1916 in Grand Mound, Iowa, the son of John and Clara (Wieck) Pinter. He married Agnes Kaczinski August 24, 1937 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Clinton. Pinter, 89, Grand Mound, Iowa, died Sunday afternoon, October 2, 2005 at Wheatland Manor, Wheatland, Iowa. Victor John Pinter was born July 20, 1916 in Grand Mound, Iowa, the son of John and Clara (Wieck) Pinter. He married Agnes Kaczinski August 24, 1937 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Clinton. The couple farmed north of Grand Mound and Vic worked for Eclipse Lumber Company. He owned and operated Vic’s Standard Oil Gas Station and Garage in Grand Mound, for 23 years until retirement. Vic was a member of Ss Philip and James Catholic Church, Grand Mound, and was a longtime member of the Grand Mound Fire Department and the Loyal of Order of Moose. He enjoyed the time he spent fishing and playing cards. Surviving are his loving wife of 68 years, Agnes; children, Larry Pinter and his wife, Karen, Delmar; Donna Pinter, Camanche; Gary Pinter and his wife, Janet, Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Mark Pinter, Scott Pinter, Daniel Pinter, Andrew Pinter, Bradley Pinter and Kim Pinter; great grandchildren, Josh Pinter, Cassandra Pinter, Jerry Pinter, Kyle Pinter, Alysia Pinter, Nick Wolfe, Amber Pinter, Keegan Pinter, Jake Pinter, Brady Pinter, Carson Pinter and Kelsey Pinter. Vic was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends may visit at Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound, from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2005. Parish vigil service 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Ss Philip and James Catholic, Grand Mound. The Rev. Fr. H. Robert Harness officiating.
