He was born March 31, 1925, in Greenville NH, a son of the late Leo J. and Wilma (Christian) Fraser. Mr. Fraser had been a resident of Milford since 1946. He had been employed as a security guard for Sanders Associates (Lockheed-Martin) in Nashua for 20 years. In his earlier years, he worked as a special officer for the Milford Police Department. He had also worked at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough NH, Abbott Machine Company in Wilton NH, and as a bus driver for the Milford schools. He was a charter member and one of the original founders of the Milford Volunteer Ambulance Service and had taught Red Cross courses for several years. For more than 50 years, he had been associated with John T. Smith & Son Funeral and Ambulance Service and later with Smith & Heald Funeral Home and Ambulance Service. He served on the Milford Town Budget Committee for several years. Mr. Fraser was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and had served on various committees. He was a Eucharistic minister, an altar server and a volunteer for the SHARE Program. A 49-year member and Past Grand Knight of Milford Council Knights of Columbus 3035, he was also a member of the Fourth Degree and Past Faithful Navigator. Mr. Fraser was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a 53-year member and past commander of Ricciardi Hartshorn Post 23, American Legion, Milford. Family members include his wife, Rose Juliette (Calvetti) Fraser of Milford; son and daughter-in-law David J. and Sheila Fraser of Milford; daughter Rhonda Whitt of Milford; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Norman Fraser; sister Theresa DeJesus of Florida; and several cousins.
