Description	:	Victor Otto White was born March 11, 1892 in the Americus Community, Kansas to Edwin and Ruth (Harvey) White. To his friends he was better known as "Vic". He worked as a farmer in the Dunlap and Americus Communities for many years. He had a special affection for horses, and often told of different ones in fond recollection. He later moved to Pratt, Kansas, and was employed by the Rural Electrification Association. He was proud of the certificate awarded him for eleven years of perfect attendance. He retired in 1958,... Read More	Victor Otto White was born March 11, 1892 in the Americus Community, Kansas to Edwin and Ruth (Harvey) White. To his friends he was better known as "Vic". He worked as a farmer in the Dunlap and Americus Communities for many years. He had a special affection for horses, and often told of different ones in fond recollection. He later moved to Pratt, Kansas, and was employed by the Rural Electrification Association. He was proud of the certificate awarded him for eleven years of perfect attendance. He retired in 1958, and moved to Council Grove. He loved his church and attended faithfully. He was married April 14, 1915 to Gladys Marie Blossom at Americus, Kansas. They were a devoted couple for 61 years, and were blessed with eight children. He departed from this life to be with the Lord on October 17, 1981 at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 17 days. Gladys preceded him in death June 12, 1976. Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Betty Jean, Aug. 7, 1934, and two sons, Hubert Orland, Sept. 19, 1962 and Leonard Lee, Aug. 23, 1976. Left to cherish his memory are four daughters, Marie Holscher, Council Grove, KS; Bonnie Gardner, Lyndon, KS, Edna Fowler, Haven, KS and Joyce Gossett, Pratt, KS; a son, Victor Raymond, Wakeeney, KS; 29 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was buried in the Dunlap cemetery. He was dearly loved by his family and will be sadly missed, but we have faith that there will be a family reunion in Heaven.
